Formed in April 2000, Lion Health and Fitness offers individual services and solutions to assist clients in making the all important lifestyle changes that will not only help relieve the stresses of everyday life but will help achieve the health benefits and longevity we all crave for.
Profile – I have been training and coaching for over 30 years and really enjoy the every day interaction with clients. A personal achievement for me was coaching to success a ‘Dragon Boat Team’ whilst living and working in Singapore. I have vast experience in various aspects of training and rehabilitation– functional Training, GAIT analysis, Aerobic Training, Weight Training, Stability Ball, Back and Shoulder Care and Core Stability etc. All of which compliment skills developed whilst training individual clients many of whom were from special populations. Clients suffering with Ankle/knee and hip problems, Lower back problems, Neck and Shoulder problems, Postural Dysfunctions, Sciatica, High Blood Pressure, Osteoporosis, Multiple Sclerosis, Asthma, Obesity, Diabetes and Stress have all responded to training regimes designed specifically for them. I have worked with Pre and Post Natal women, as well as several clients pre and post surgery for knee and hip replacements.
As an Advanced Personal Fitness Trainer in Barnet I offer much more than personal training. My approach to health and fitness is truly holistic and utilises all the skills developed whilst training with the CHEK Institute. During the 8 year program I have attained CHEK Certified Master Practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 3 status.This approach is different from that provided by other personal trainers and gym based staff who focus purely on the physical aspects of training. My aim is to help clients achieve optimum health and wellbeing by adopting a holistic approach to their health and fitness needs. The principle being that it is just as important to work on internal and emotional health issues as it is on the physical aspects to achieve peak health and fitness.
As a CHEK trained exercise specialist I will use the six design principles considered essential to any successful health and fitness program. These principles are – Breathing/Respiration, Sleep, Diet, Exercise, Hydration and Thoughts all of which will be addressed within the program.
Specialties – As a member of the C.H.E.K Institute and the Register of Exercise Professionals I am skilled in the bodies biomechanics, injury rehabilitation and improving sports performance.
As a C.H.E.K Certified Master Practitioner, I have been trained to work holistically in order to assist clients in all aspects of their health and wellbeing. C.H.E.K Practitioners understand that the human body is a system of systems and that one system has the ability to affect another system. An assessment of these systems is required before specific recommendations can be made. The holistic approach involves assessing each client on a physical, mental and emotional level in order to fully understand the physiological load (stress) they are under, before providing the relevant exercise and wellness programme. The CHEK 8 year programme is supplemented by other qualifications such as Premier International Advanced Personal Training in Barnet, NASM Advanced Personal Trainer in Barnet, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, Holistic Lifestyle Coaching, Sports Massage Therapy, Postural Correction, Sports Injury Rehabilitation, Golf Bio-mechanics, Golf Performance, Stress Relief and DNA profiling to provide a truly holistic solution to all of your health and fitness needs. As an Advanced Personal Trainer and Holistic Lifestyle Coach in Barnet, I really do offer unparalleled services to clients in North London. Further training in holistic healing allows me to assist clients in reducing the mental and emotional stresses that are so prevalent today. As a member of the Register of Nutritional Therapists and as an Advanced Metabolic Typing Advisor I am also able to assist clients with identifying which diet is correct for their metabolic type, as well as assisting with various detoxification processes. I also provide food intolerance testing and feel this is a key area where clients are suffering chronic health or weight loss issues.
I am also trained in the use of Heart Rate Variability Testing and Mitochondrial Supplementation which allows me to monitor and support the inner workings of the body whilst assisting clients to improve their energy levels and stay healthy longer.
