I have been suffering with an eating disorder for over 20 years and reached the point of despair 4 years ago. I was 5 stone 12lbs, running 6 k a day, consuming around 1200 calories a day and feeling very poorly. This was basically, coffee, diet coke, babybels, a slice of or two bread and beans and fish fingers and very little else. Mentally, I was a mess and my anxiety was rife, I fainted a lot (for no apparent reason), I stopped menstruating, suffered insomnia and was diagnosed with osteoporosis in my spine and hip, the final straw was breaking out in rashes and hives when I ate certain foods. I would suffer terrible urticaria as soon as I consumed them, I had H pylori, leaky gut, was gluten intolerant and my stress levels were high (I had adrenal fatigue). I had been diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa. Finally, in desperation I agreed to let my dad (Phil Loizides) help me. He gave me some basic principles (CHEK) to follow, which concentrated on diet, hydration, exercise and sleep.

At the time I thought it strange that he was also concentrating on my breathing and thought processes but I now understand how these are linked into the whole holistic approach to health and fitness. In addition, he recommended supplements to support my adrenals and homeopathic hormonal remedies to assist them. The process was slow and the investigating complex at times but it was worth it.

I am now 7 stone 5lbs, I no longer have urticaria, I can eat gluten in moderation and I can think much more coherently which I believe is due to a more primal and balanced diet which increased my protein intake. The CHEK principles he urged me to follow, work. My bone density has increased by 11.4%. I am extremely thankful for his help (I just wish I had listened earlier) and recommend his approach to health and fitness to anyone struggling with health issues.
